1/3 cup whole bran cereal (not bran flakes)
1/4 cup water
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup honey 1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon each soda and salt
1/4 cup dry milk
1 cup each regular rolled oats and finely chopped B & R Farms dried apricots
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Combine bran and water in a small bowl; set aside.

In a large bowl, beat together butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add egg and beat until fluffy. Mix in honey, vanilla, and bran. Combine flour, soda, salt, dry milk, oats, apricots, and walnuts. Stir into cream mixture. Drop by level tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets, placing dough about 2 inches apart.

Bake in a 375 oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown and firm when lightly touched.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
