| APRICOT
NUT LOAF
1 cup
B&R Farms Dried Apricot (soaked in water until doubled in size) Drain and chop apricots. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in walnuts. Beat egg lightly and add milk, shortening and rind. Stir liquid mixture and apricot into dry mixture. Turn into greased loaf pan (about 9x4x3 inches) and allow to stand for 15 mins. Bake in moderate oven (350 F.) 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack. Makes 1 loaf. |
