California Fruit Cake


¾ C sifted flour
¼ t baking powder
½ t baking soda
½ t salt
¾ C brown sugar
2 C whole pitted dates (3/4 lb.)
1 ½ C B & R Farms Dried Apricots
1 ½ C walnut halves
1 ½ C coconut
3 eggs, well beaten
1 t vanilla


Line loaf pan with brown paper, then grease.

In bowl, sift dry ingredients. Add brown sugar, fruits, nuts and coconut to dry mix. Add the three well beaten eggs and vanilla.

Pour into pan and smooth the top of the batter a little.

Bake 1 ½ hours at 300F or until done.

Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan.
